They say that the kitchen is the heart of any home. And if you are renovating your home or are planning a kitchen redo—it just got easier. That’s because Flooring Depot of Panama City is expanding their product line to offer cabinets and countertops.

“We’ve had a lot of customers come into the store asking if we also offer cabinets and countertops for their kitchens and bathrooms,” says Barry McEntire, owner and president of Flooring Depot of Panama City. “So, we began doing some research and decided to expand in that direction to offer a continued continuity to our customers. So now, they can pair the floors they love with a new kitchen or bathroom that they love as well.”

Quality Construction
Just like with the quality flooring that they offer, Flooring Depot of Panama City is partnering with cabinet and countertop manufacturers that offer high-quality products. Solid wood construction, usually maple or birch, and plywood or HDF (High Density Fiberboard) materials are all sturdy and long-lasting products for your kitchen. “The companies we’ve chosen to work with have a strong attention to detail in the construction of the cabinet, so that customers can rest assured the product is going to last for years to come,” says McEntire.

The cabinet boxes are constructed with half-inch plywood for the sides, tops and bottoms to give the base cabinet strength and stability. Most cabinet box exteriors are match stained and finished inside out. Three-quarter inch plywood shelves are standard in each cabinet option. All cabinets feature soft close drawers and doors. Butt style doors eliminate the center stile between the doors and allow for easier use of the cabinet. Stainless steel baskets are standard in the lazy Susan cabinets. Three-quarter inch hardwood dovetail drawer boxes are standard on all the cabinets as well. For those that want to inject some additional style in their kitchens, you can choose glass panel doors, wine racks, microwave shelves as well as a pantry. Our beautiful options for hardware in brushed nickel, polished chrome, oil rubbed bronze, and other options complete the look and style that you are looking to create in your kitchen.

Style, Style and More Style
The style of the cabinet doors customers can choose from include some of the most popular designs such as shaker style, shaker style with a recessed trim or a raised panel with beveling. Cabinet colors come in white, gray or light or dark gray stain.

“By far, the biggest request is for a shaker style cabinet,” says Jack Murphy, cabinet salesperson for Flooring Depot. “It’s a classic style and is virtually timeless. It’s simple, clean and it’s going to look great for years to come. The most popular customer requested color right now is the white or gray. Both are considered neutrals and you can pair either with a beautiful granite or quartz countertop to get a high-end look with tremendous function and durability at a great price.”

And who doesn’t love an island in a kitchen? “Islands are so popular because they give the homeowner both extra storage and functionality in that it can expand your food prep area,” says Murphy. “We can definitely design and build an island into your space.” If you also need a pantry that can be designed into the space as well.

Whether you’re a culinary expert or just need to heat up a meal, the function of your kitchen is essential to you and your family. Our cabinet salesperson will listen to what and how you want your kitchen to function and what type of storage needs you have. He will then work with you to draw the kitchen of your dreams in a 3-D kitchen program so that you can see how your kitchen will look when your space is finished. When you are satisfied with that, we place the order with the manufacturer. Nothing is pre-fabricated. It is designed for your space and is custom to your home, needs and unique personality.

“Kitchens, much like the flooring in your home, are investments,” says McEntire. “When you put the time and money into quality products, you’re not only going to increase your home’s value, but you are going to enjoy it for years to come.”
