The Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce’s celebratory Annual Awards Dinner presented by Noble Public Adjusting Group was a night of recognition as they honored six of their outstanding members on Thursday, February 22, at Edgewater Beach & Golf Resort.
“The Awards Dinner is a night to celebrate these dedicated members for their positive impact on the Beach Chamber and within the community. Awards included the Young Professional of the Year, Ambassador of the Year, Business of Excellence, Humanitarian of the Year, Community Impact, and a dedication to the Chamber’s 2023 Chairman. Our award recipients deserve recognition for their volunteer efforts, helping those less fortunate, and creating an economic impact to the entire region so it’s an honor to celebrate them tonight,” said President/CEO, Kristopher McLane.

The 2023 Young Professional of the Year Award was presented to Derrick Malnar with PeoplesSouth Bank. His ambition to see young professionals like himself thrive within the community played a key role in revamping the YP program and growing its membership.

The Ambassador of the Year Award winner was Aubrey Haskell of Destination Panama City. Her dedication to the Beach Chamber’s growth and influence has truly gone above and beyond since joining the Ambassador team in 2021.

The Business of Excellence Award was awarded to Peoples First Insurance and accepted by Kristian Chapman. As a family-operated enterprise, they hold a genuine appreciation for others and are dedicated to supporting local charities.

The Humanitarian of the Year Award was given to Chris Moates, CEO and Founder of Toys for Kids, for his generosity and commitment to improving our community and the lives of children living in our area. Over the years, the foundation has collected more than 20,000 toys aiding 14 Bay County agencies in distributing gifts to over 10,000 children in our community.

The Chamber awarded its 2023 Community Impact Award to Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport for their continued economic and workforce impact in the community. Moving into its 14th year of operation, this gateway to the community has remained focused on the future with continued expansion to support the growth in Northwest Florida.

The Past Chair Award was given to 2023 Chairman of the Board, Joe Sorci of Florida Architects. His commitment to leading the Beach Chamber helped grow the membership to nearly 1,600 members.

Congratulations to all award winners and thank you to everyone who made the 2024 Annual Awards Dinner a huge success.
