Happy New Year, Bay County! As we welcome 2025, I’m filled with excitement and anticipation for the incredible opportunities for our students, staff, and the entire beach community. A new year means new beginnings, and I can’t wait to see how we’ll continue to grow and thrive together.
This year, we’re approaching the next round of state testing windows with confidence and pride, knowing that our students are ready to show how much they’ve learned. Their hard work and unwavering support of our teachers, staff, and community sets them up for success. It’s an exciting time, and we look forward to seeing the fruits of our labor in academic achievement across the district.
Let’s take a moment to celebrate the remarkable achievement of Patronis Elementary, which has been named a DOE School of Excellence! This prestigious honor is a testament to the entire school community’s dedication, passion, and commitment. I want to give a special shoutout to Principal Brooke Loyed and her exceptional leadership team and staff, who work tirelessly every day to make Patronis a shining example of academic excellence on the beach. Their hard work and innovative approach to education are truly something to celebrate, and I couldn’t be more proud of their well-deserved recognition.
As we enter 2025, I want to invite our beach community to make a special New Year’s resolution—get even more involved in our beach schools. Whether it’s volunteering, attending school events, or supporting our various initiatives, your involvement makes a real difference in the lives of our students. Our beach schools thrive because of the strong connection between our educators, students, and the community. Let’s continue to strengthen that bond and ensure that our students have everything they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
Together, we’re not only putting the ‘A’ back in Bay, but we’re also making our beach schools a beacon of success. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your continued support. Let’s make 2025 a year to remember!
