Charles Spurgeon once referred to the Bible as a lion. He said, “You don’t have to defend a lion, you just turn him loose, and he will defend himself.” Such is the case with the Bible. Since the Bible proceeds from God, it is immutable and divinely inspired. The Bible is the Word of God. If one debates a matter of the Bible, you will find that it will establish “one” truth. Everything else is false.
Within the Scriptures, there are numerous ways to describe this inspired volume.
It is a SEED of great blessings that is planted in the hearts and minds of those who are receptive to it. (Luke 8:11) It is like a SWORD that is alive and powerful and penetrates, even to the heart, changing us. (Hebrews 4:12). It is classified as the TRUTH (John 17:17). It is a LAMP to our feet (guiding us) Psalm 119:105. It is ARMOR that protects us (Ephesians 6:17).
The Bible is LIFE CHANGING. “I will never forget your precepts, for by them You have given me life” (Psalms 119:93). And for those who have drifted from God, His teachings will REVIVE you (Psalms 119:159)
I recommend that all of you readers study the Bible, for it will greatly bless your life.

Chapter 4: Ask and Receive
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7)
“And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.” (I Chronicles 4:10)
Let’s not lose sight of our theme in this book. God wants to bless your life. But have you been asking? Let me tell you about a man who had enough courage and faith to talk with God and ask for blessings. The story is found in 1 Chronicles 4:9-10. It is a very short story, but it is packed with evidence of God’s willingness to bless us if we ask. Read and enjoy.
