Bay County’s Public Transportation System was formed in 1983 with a mission to provide convenient and affordable public transportation options that make Bay County accessible to residents and visitors alike. With enhanced and expanded services, Bayway provides routes in Panama City Beach and several across the Bay County area, connecting residents and visitors to the beach, Gulf Coast State College, FSU PC, local supermarkets and more.

Bayway 1Bayway’s services are designed to deliver a well-balanced multi-modal transportation system, promoting community education and embracing economic development, community accessibility, environmental sensitivity, and customer demand. The Bayway team prioritizes community engagement campaigns, supporting and honoring local causes and awarding free ride opportunities throughout the year. To ensure all members of the community have access to Bayway’s services, qualified members can access On Demand service rides within and outside the PCB area and book rides that fit their schedules and destinations.

“Bayway is meant to serve everybody. Whether you are a tourist looking to spend a day at the beach or a local on the way to work, Bayway aims to provide safe and reliable transport,” says Lamar Hobbs, Transit Program Administrator. “The benefits extend beyond having an enjoyable experience. Riders save money from rising gas prices, contribute to reducing traffic congestion, and support environmental and communal health. Regardless of it being your first or 15th ride, we invite you to take a ride with us and see what Bayway can do for you.”

Passes may be purchased on any bus, on the Token Transit app, by calling (850) 769-0557, or when visiting the Bayway Office.
