BAYCOLA was created with a vision to bring quality, intentional early childhood education to North Bay County. Every detail of our brand-new facility, from classroom design to security features and educational resources, was carefully planned with children, families, and educators in mind.
While we are new to Bay County, we are not new to early childhood education. BAYCOLA is our second location, building upon the experience and success of our first center, Jackson County Learning Academy (JACOLA), in Marianna, Florida. JACOLA is a Designated Gold Seal Provider and recently earned an Excellent designation—the highest rating awarded to early education programs by Florida’s Department of Early Learning. This recognition reflects our longstanding commitment to educational excellence and the high standards we bring to BAYCOLA.
Serving children from infancy through age five, BAYCOLA offers age-appropriate programming supporting each child’s developmental journey. Our research-based curriculum focuses on the whole child, encouraging cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development through meaningful, hands-on learning. Specialized transition classrooms help infants entering their toddler years build independence and confidence.
Safety and communication are equally important. Our state-of-the-art security system, interior security doors, and family communication technology provide parents with peace of mind and meaningful connections to their child’s daily experiences. Our multipurpose room offers additional opportunities for movement, gross motor development, and calming activities.
Beyond our classrooms, BAYCOLA is committed to serving the Bay County community. We recognize that working families need dependable care, flexible options, and educators who genuinely care about their children’s futures. Within our first year, we hope to expand our services to include transportation and before- and after-school opportunities for school-age children.
We proudly participate in programs that make quality early education more accessible, including Early Learning Coalition assistance and the Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (MCCYN) program.
BAYCOLA was built on the belief that strong communities begin with strong families, and strong families deserve exceptional educational opportunities.
