The City of Panama City Beach is proud to introduce its inaugural Citizens’ Academy (CA)—an eight-week educational program designed to engage residents and provide an in-depth understanding of city government operations. This unique opportunity allows participants to learn firsthand how various departments function and how local government serves the community.
The class, which starts June 4, will offer participants a behind-the-scenes look at city government operations and the opportunity to engage with city leaders, including department heads and elected officials. They will also learn about key city functions, including public safety, utilities, parks, and planning, while building connections and becoming a stronger advocate for the community. The Citizens’ Academy offers the chance to explore potential opportunities to serve on boards, commissions, or in elected positions.
