Panama City Symphony is happy to announce The St. Joe Community Foundation as the 2024-25 season’s Grand Marquee Sponsor, Community Outreach and Education. In alignment with The St. Joe Community Foundation’s mission, Panama City Symphony aims to enrich the quality of life for people living in and visiting the Northwest Florida region. The Grand Marquee Sponsorship will help fund a multitude of exceptional symphonic performances and music education programs and outreach.
In addition to ten Musically Up Close ensemble performances at Panama City Hall Rotunda, the 2024-25 Symphony season offers four classical concerts and four pops concerts. Seven performances are held in the 700-seat Barbara W. Nelson Fine Arts Center at Bay High School.
Two holiday concerts are offered for 2024. Continuing a holiday tradition in partnership with Visit Panama City Beach, the Panama City Symphony celebrates the season with festive melodies and timeless holiday classics at the free concert, Beach Home for the Holidays. Don your favorite holiday apparel and head to Aaron Bessant Park on November 30 to enjoy the Symphony, Santa, fireworks, and s’mores! Holiday by the Bay, the Magical Sounds of Christmas, will take place on December 14 at Bay High’s Fine Arts Center. The familiar sounds of the season come alive with the dynamic vocals of special guest, tenor Justin John Moniz. It is an evening of musical gifts sure to put you in the holiday spirit!
Dr. Marlene East, President of the Board of Directors of Panama City Symphony, said, “The support of The St. Joe Community Foundation is appreciated by the board of directors as well as by the season subscribers, patrons, and residents of Northwest Florida. The Foundation’s generosity helps Panama City Symphony, under the superb leadership of Sergey Bogza, Music Director and Conductor, provide the finest quality of symphonic music by professional musicians. The Grand Marquee sponsorship by The St. Joe Community Foundation also helps Panama City Symphony bring music education programs to students in Bay District Schools, to students in other panhandle counties, and to retirement homes and neighborhoods. We are particularly excited about launching a partnership this year with the St. Joe community, Latitude Margaritaville, and having their residents attend our concerts.”
