Bay County Sheriff’s Office Releases New App
Sheriff Tommy Ford announced today a new Bay County Sheriff’s Office App is now available to the public. This free app will provide the public with an additional way to stay informed about the BCSO and receive critical safety messages, in addition to local media and social media platforms.

Using the Bay County Sheriff’s Office app, the public can conduct an inmate search at the Bay County Jail, submit tips directly to Crimestoppers, search for sex offenders in their area, apply for employment at the BCSO, become familiar with their child’s school resource deputy, learn about agency resources, see the top 10 most wanted in Bay County, become a part of BayROC’s camera system, and read all press releases. The app will also push out notifications providing immediate information concerning critical incidents happening in real time.

Once the app is on their smartphone, the public can receive unfiltered safety messages and information without checking social media accounts. The app will notify them (if they wish) every time there is a push notification. Critical information will be accessible easily without scrolling through other posts or dealing with changing social media algorithms.
The free app is available in the Google Play Store for Android users and the Apple app store for iPhone users.
