The 2024 PCB Fishing Rodeo runs from October 5 through October 13. Have you registered yet? Plan now to participate in this community-wide event that is organized this year by the Panama City Boatman’s Association. There will be over 60 categories of fish as well as kid’s and ladies’ divisions. There will be daily prizes in addition to overall tournament winners’ prizes. The kid’s fishing clinic will be hosted again by the Reel Ladies on October 5 with a bounce house and more fun for all both weekends. Sign up soon! Remember, Amberjack and Triggerfish are open through October. The State guide boats will have the opportunity to catch Red Snapper along with the private recreational boats on the weekends. Lots of fish waiting to be caught by you!
Capt. Anderson Marina’s Event Center will host the opening Captains’ Party on October 4. And, of course, there will be fireworks on October 13 right after the Closing Awards Ceremonies.
Fisherman Walk is open daily with Sugar Shack offering Hershey’s Ice Cream, Kid’s Play area, The Ship Store with great nautical gifts and trinkets as well as an array of fishing shirts and hats. There will be some great deals on the nautical gifts… Christmas is coming!
Capt. Max’s Bar and Grill is open daily from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. and throughout the tournament with Fish & Shrimp baskets, sandwiches, snacks and specials. Eat inside the café or outside and enjoy the cooler weather.
Capt. Max’s Grill also offers ‘Hook ‘n Cook’ if you want to bring your own fish.
The Upper Deck Bar gives you a great second floor view of the fishermen coming in with their catches and beautiful Grand Lagoon. There is entertainment with college football or NFL football or live music nightly.
