I am deeply honored to have earned your support earlier this month. Thank you to everyone who turned out to vote, volunteered, and encouraged our efforts. Together, we have taken a big step forward for North Florida and our shared vision of a stronger United States.
As we move ahead, my focus will remain steadfast on the issues that matter most to you. We will fight to curb inflation and lower costs for hardworking families, prioritize the safety and security of our communities, and ensure our allies like Israel have the support they need in the face of ongoing threats. With strong leadership in Washington, we’ll work to tackle the critical issues at our southern border and hold accountable those who fail to keep our nation secure.
Together, we can build an America that stands tall on the world stage, where our values guide our path forward, and our communities are safe, strong, and prosperous. The road ahead is promising, and I am excited to continue this journey with you as we work to make these goals a reality.
House Republicans are hard at work right now to deliver results for the American people. Earlier this month, I voted in favor of the Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st-Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act, which represents the largest expansion of long-term care options for veterans in recent history. In addition to streamlining the disability benefits process, this legislation also expands mental health resources and allows even more veterans to take advantage of Veterans Technology Education Courses (VET TEC). American veterans upheld their oath to defend American shores and protected our country at great cost. Now, Congress is doing its part to uphold the promises we made to them.
This bill came on the heels of Veterans Day. As a veteran myself, this holiday holds a special significance to me and everyone who has served in our nation’s armed forces. Last week, I had the incredible privilege of meeting with a Medal of Honor recipient at an expo for Florida veterans looking to transition into civilian life. Standing with one of our nation’s greatest heroes was a powerful reminder of the extraordinary bravery and selflessness of those who serve. It was a humbling experience, and it strengthened my resolve to continue prioritizing my voice for policies that address the needs of our veterans and their families.
If you or someone you know needs help navigating their veterans’ benefits, please do not hesitate to contact my office at (850) 785-0812. My staff and I are available to assist veterans with obtaining their service records, accessing their benefits, and more!
