Breakfast Point Academy (BPA) is proud to announce that we have been recognized as an “A” school by the Florida Department of Education for the 2023-2024 school year. This accomplishment is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers, staff, and families. As a kindergarten through 8th-grade school with close to 1,100 students, we take immense pride in the everyday achievements that continue to elevate our learning community. Our theme for this year, “BPA: Making Magic Every Day,” encapsulates the extraordinary work that happens across academics, arts, and athletics on our campus.
Our students continue to excel academically, as reflected in several key achievements. This past year, Breakfast Point Academy students earned 245 Career and Technical Education (CTE) certifications, providing them with valuable skills and knowledge for future success. In mathematics, our students posted an impressive 97% pass rate in Algebra and a 96% pass rate in Geometry, demonstrating mastery of these challenging subjects. These results are further supported by the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) assessment, where our students showed outstanding growth and learning gains.
Additionally, our middle school students have shined in academic competitions with the Middle School Beta Club and Math Counts teams representing BPA with distinction. Our History students won the most awards at the Tom Barefield History Fair, and they took their talents to Tallahassee to compete at the state level. Their success reflects the dedication of both students and teachers in fostering a passion for learning and history.
At BPA, athletics play a key role in student development, and we’ve seen magical results on the field and the court. Last year, our Boys’ soccer team had an undefeated season, culminating in a county championship that brought pride to the entire school. This year, our Running Lady Rays achieved another milestone by winning the first-ever county cross-country championship for BPA. These victories are a testament to the dedication and hard work of our student-athletes and coaches.
The Stingray Band continues to impress with performances that have earned recognition both locally and at the state level. This year, the band traveled to Orlando, where they competed and received accolades for their outstanding performance. Their success is a reflection of our school’s commitment to nurturing the artistic talents of our students, as they continue to shine on stages near and far.
As we move forward through this school year, we remain excited about the potential for even more achievements. Whether through academic competitions, athletic championships, or artistic performances, our students are continuously making magic happen at Breakfast Point Academy.
