Local Singer and Songwriter Releases New Track
Somewhere, a new song by local singer-songwriter Mindy White, was just released in May. “It’s a perfect song that beautifully complements a dreamy landscape, reminiscent of Taylor Swift’s enchanting track, ‘Willow’,” says acclaimed music blog Kings of A&R. “Somewhere is one of a dozen songs I wrote and recorded right after I moved here from Nashville,” says White. “I was so inspired by our beautiful area and my memories of visiting here every Summer growing up. Somewhere is a song about getting away from it all when things feel too heavy, and about being there for those you love. I finished it with the help of a couple of producer friends based in Denver, CO by using FaceTime video chat and Audiomovers.

We built and tracked the song virtually while I recorded vocals here in my bedroom closet. While writing Somewhere, I envisioned running away in a vintage car, no destination in mind, disappearing into the sunset and stopping at the ocean to play in the waves and watch the stars come out. So, that’s exactly what we tried to capture in the music video, which was also shot here on our gorgeous beaches by the incredible photographer/videographer Val B Photography. I hope y’all enjoy the song and music video as much as I loved bringing it all to life!”
