Celebrating our Nation’s 250th anniversary is quite a blessing for all of us who love America.  The celebrations will be exceptional at Capt. Anderson’s Marina and all along Grand Lagoon with the annual Grand Lagoon Freedom Rocks Fireworks Display on July 3.

Come early to enjoy the festivities and live entertainment at Capt. Max’s Bar & Grill. You will have a front row seat from any of the waterfront venues along Grand Lagoon, including, of course, top deck views from Capt. Max’s and all along the marina. On the ground level are play areas for children and Capt. Max’s Grill and Hershey’s Ice Cream shop, as well as That Ship’s Store. Be sure to check out their patriotic shirts and blouses.

On July 3, Capt. Anderson III will cruise down the Lagoon to get a different fireworks view, up close and personal. The cruise will be from 8-9:30 p.m. with fireworks at 8:45. Reserve early for the cruise!

On the Fourth of July, several of our boats, including, of course, Capt. Anderson III, will cruise over to the downtown marina for the City of Panama City’s fabulous fireworks display.  They sell out quickly, so be sure to reserve early!

The fishing fleet is experiencing plenty of fine catches of Red Snapper and so many other great species.  There are plenty of opportunities to get out cruising and fishing all along the Lagoon. We offer 5-hr., 6-hr., & 10-hr. day fishing trips, as well as the 8-hr. night fishing. In addition, 12 hr. trips are available Saturday & Sunday from 6 a.m. -6 p.m.

Grand Lagoon also has a variety of locally owned restaurants serving some mighty fine seafood, burgers and steaks. And lots of family fun in the neighborhood!

The Bay County Artificial Reef Association update: BCARA has kicked off its Summer Raffle Series with an exciting opportunity for anglers to win a self-contained Daiwa Tanacom electric reel paired with a Proteus saltwater rod. This limited raffle is helping raise funds for future artificial reef deployments that enhance fishing and diving opportunities throughout Bay County. We are also excited to announce that BCARA and the PCB Fishing Rodeo have officially merged, creating an even stronger fundraising platform to support reef construction, habitat enhancement, and youth outdoor education programs. In addition, BCARA continues to grow its volunteer program through monthly volunteer meetups held on the first Tuesday of each month, providing community members with a chance to get involved, learn about upcoming projects, and help shape the future of our local fisheries and reefs. Together, these efforts are building a stronger organization dedicated to preserving and improving our marine resources for generations to come.

Capt. Anderson Marina’s Event Center continues to be a great place for parties great and small, whether weddings, business meetings or church conferences. It’s beautiful and you can’t beat the view!
