The 2024 academic year kicked off with a strong influx of eager learners, with the incoming class of 6th-grade students showing great promise. The school community is excited to welcome these students into an environment known for its high academic standards and vibrant extracurricular offerings.

Surfside Academy recently celebrated our senior KT Brenson, marking the academy’s second successful graduate. Brenson’s achievements reflect the strength of the Surfside Academy’s focused student-centered environment.

Agriculture students at Surfside are diving into cutting-edge agricultural science under the guidance of Mrs. Lange. The program is pushing boundaries with hands-on experiments in aquaponics, where students are exploring sustainable farming methods that combine fish farming and plant cultivation in a symbiotic environment. This initiative showcases the school’s commitment to innovative learning.

Surfside’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs are also in full swing. Students are gaining valuable skills in fields like coding and pre-engineering, preparing them for the future workforce. These courses provide hands-on learning experiences that align with real-world applications, making Surfside a hub for forward-thinking education.

In sports, Surfside’s inaugural middle school cross-country team is off to a blazing start. Ian Thomas recently took first place in the county, and Nathan Shearsby took second in the first-ever middle school cross country meet, further proving that Surfside not only excels academically but also thrives in athletics.
