Flag Retirement Ceremony at PCB Senior Center
On June 14, 2023, at 2 p.m., there will be a flag retirement ceremony held at the Panama City Beach Senior Center on Lyndell Lane in Panama City Beach, Florida. The ceremony will include the Pledge of Allegiance, the meaning of the flag, the folding of a flag, and the retirement of the flag. This event is sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10555 and the Panama City Beach Senior Center.
Summer Reading
The Northwest Regional Library System aspires to help students to prevent the “summer slide” by providing a variety of engaging, educational programs that encourage discovery. Many of these programs fit this summer’s theme, All Together Now. Summer reading allows children to maintain their reading skills during the summer break and foster a love of reading when they read for fun!

St. Joe Holds Employee Appreciation Event
The St. Joe Company held its annual “Spring into Season” employee appreciation event Friday, May 12, at Ace Home Helpers (17760 Panama City Beach Parkway).
The St. Joe Company’s Talent, Leadership & Culture team partnered with the locally owned hardware store to present all St. Joe Company team members with gift cards to help kick off any projects at home as we prepare to spring into the busy summer season.
Along with the gift cards, breakfast snacks, and t-shirts, a raffle for employees included a chance to win a Weber Spirit II Grill.

Bayway Services Now Available Sundays
Bayway, Bay County Public Transit, recently announced the expansion of its services to include Sundays beginning now through October 2023. In an effort to support the needs of Bay County residents and visitors, Bayway aims to provide affordable and reliable transportation every day of the week.
The new Sunday services will run on a limited schedule and will be available on all regular routes. These services will provide the same accessibility, affordability and safety as the routine weekday services, with fares remaining unchanged. Bayway prioritizes making its transportation offerings suitable and reliable for all current and future passengers.
Expanding services to riders seven days a week offers a new opportunity for riders to explore the area, enjoy leisurely activities along coastal routes, and enjoy an easy and efficient ride. Stop locations and arrival and departure times are available now on Bayway’s website.
“Whether you are a resident or visitor, Bayway connects you with Panama City’s best destinations,” said Lamar Hobbs, Transit Programs Administrator of the Bay County Board of County Commissioners. “We understand the importance of reliable and efficient transportation services to our riders, and Sundays are no exception. All Bayway buses are ADA-accessible, accommodate service animals and carry bike racks, creating a seamless and enjoyable experience for all rides.
