Celebrating Incredible Educators

By the time you read this, we will have finished our celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week (May 2-6) BUT it’s NEVER too late to appreciate our amazing educators. The end-of-the-school-year time period is always filled with so many activities, recognitions, celebrations and graduations that we sometimes lose track of the fact that teaching and learning are still occurring (right up until the very last day) because of the dedication of our staff members.

While Teacher Appreciation has become synonymous with gift cards, flowers, mugs and other material items, the truth is that a heartfelt “thank you” or a short note of appreciation means just as much, if not more, than an actual gift. Our teachers need to hear how much they are appreciated and they need to know how much they mean to you and your children. So please, if you haven’t already done so and maybe even if you have already done so, take a few minutes before the end of this year to let the teachers in your lives know how grateful you are.

I’d like to give a HUGE shout out to the incredible businesses and individuals who continue to support our Teacher Appreciation efforts each year including Trustmark Bank, Innovations, Tyndall Federal Credit Union, Manual & Thompson, Beachy Beach Real Estate, Coca Cola of Panama City, HMX Productions, Legistix Solutions, Rachal’s Recovery Relief, Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam, ABCE, Texas Roadhouse and many others. Please take a moment to thank these businesses and individuals as you encounter them … they are longtime supporters of public education and we’re grateful for their continued commitment to what we do.

Summer is a time for fun, rest and relaxation and we certainly hope all of our families get some time at the beach, or beside a pool, to enjoy all of the amazing weather Florida has to offer. We’re gearing up for a busy month of June with Summer Learning Recovery Programs at all of our schools to help ensure all students succeed and we know the 2022-2023 school year will be here before we know it!

Thank you for your continued partnership and encouragement. Panama City Beach is home to some incredible schools and that’s a testament to your continued support!

Stay safe and God Bless!
