A Superior AC to Hold Veteran & First Responder Appreciation Lunches in October
The community is coming together next month to give recognition and thanks to our first responders and veterans. A Superior Air Conditioning Company will again hold its quarterly Veteran and First Responder Appreciation Lunch in October… but this time in different locations. All lunches fall on Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. On October 11 the Walton County Lunch takes place at Faith Assembly Christian Church (AKA The Rock & Roll Church), 306 South Geronimo Street, Miramar Beach. On October 18 the Panama City Beach Lunch will be hosted at Texas Roadhouse in Pier Park North.

Register to win a free hvac system: Go to ASuperior AC.com and scroll down to the box at the bottom, “Veterans & First Responders HVAC Giveaways.” Register to win a free HVAC system. One first responder or veteran per quarter will be chosen to win. The giveaway is open to all who have served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and all first responders including EMT/Medics, Police, Sheriffs and Fire Fighters.

Neighbors Night Out Under the Pavilion Oct. 19
NeighborsJoin friends and neighbors at a special Grand Lagoon meet-up on Wednesday, October 19 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Sheraton PCB Golf Resort & Spa. “Neighbors Night Out Under the Pavilion” is hosted by STROLL Grand Lagoon and is free and open to the public. Our mission? To connect and engage the community! This fun social is co-hosted by Make-A-Wish, granting wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. Make-A-Wish is becoming more entrenched in our community, having recently arrived in North Florida, and their team would love to meet you that evening. Live music will be provided by the Victor Payano Jazz Ensemble, so bring your dance shoes! The Sheraton will provide hors d’oeuvres with a cash bar. Local businesses will be on hand to meet & greet guests and showcase their products and services. Save the date – and please join us for this fun community event!

Pier Park Kicks Off Halloween Costume Drive
Pier Park announced today that the shopping, dining and entertainment complex will again help locals and visitors in need by hosting its annual “Halloween Costume Drive.” The Pier Park team will be collecting new and gently-used costumes at the Mall Management Office located at 600 Pier Park Drive, Suite 125.

Halloween costume donors are invited to drop off their items any weekday from October 3 to 28 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Costumes for adults and children in all sizes are needed. The week of Halloween, October 24 through 28, guests can browse the donations to find their favorite scare wear while supplies last. The costume bank will be open during regular office hours.
